What can I expect?
Windsor Castle is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in British royalty, history, or architecture. As one of His Majesty the King's official residences and the world’s oldest continuously inhabited castle, it offers a truly majestic experience.
Explore the lavish State Apartments, filled with masterpieces from the Royal Collection, including works by Rubens, Van Dyck, and Holbein. Admire dazzling Sèvres porcelain, period furnishings, and tapestries as you walk in the footsteps of monarchs.
Don't miss the stunning St George’s Chapel — an architectural gem and the spiritual heart of the Order of the Garter. It’s also the final resting place of Queen Elizabeth II, Henry VIII, and other monarchs, and the site of royal weddings, including that of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Enjoy a free multimedia audio guide as you tour the castle at your own pace. In winter, visitors can also access the Semi-State Rooms — once the private apartments of George IV. Complete your visit with refreshments at the charming Undercroft Café, set within one of the Castle’s oldest medieval spaces.
